Vietnam Will Offer Visa Exemptions to More Countries

According to Nguyen Van Tuan, head of the National Administration of Tourism: one of the reasons makes Vietnam perform poorly in terms of tourist arrival during the past months: Visa complications. To tourists, getting visa is a procedure that wastes of time and money. Sometimes, it makes the travel cost become over.
The recent statistic show that foreigners paid about 3.3 million tourist visits to Vietnam through May, a 13% drop from the same period last year. This big drop in number of tourists has a bad effect on the economy because Tourism contributes about 6% of Vietnam's GDP.
It will be a good news to our customers wanting to join our Vietnam Motorbike Tours, to improve the domestic tourism environment to be more attractive to visitors, Vietnam will provide more visa exemptions. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has agreed to offer "unilateral visa exemptions" to countries that have sent high numbers of visitors to Vietnam in recent years: Denmark, Finland, Japan, Norway, Russia, South Korea, and Sweden from this year through 2019. Vietnam visa exemption is being planned as soon as possible for more 9 countries:  Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, and the UK.
Besides, to promote the country’s attractions, a US$100-million tourism fund is set up with 30% of the money from the state budget, and the rest from tourism companies. This fund will be used to train workers in the industry, hold road shows and set up tourism offices overseas.
With an open-minded in issue the visa and a big investment in facilities and training, Vietnam want to better compete with countries such as Singapore and Thailand.
We hope that with the effort of improving our services and procedure process, Vietnam will become soon a worth-to-visit country in the eyes of visitors.
