The Legenday Ho Chi Minh Trail Motorbike Tour in 7 Days

At 7:00, the tour guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby and take you to the starting point to start the Ho Chi Minh trail motorbike tour. This will be a difficult start because we will have to get used to the crazy traffic of Hanoi by leaving it. We go northwest of Hanoi along Thang Long Highway, where traffic is easy so you can safely leave Hanoi. After about 2 hours of motorbikes, we will begin to feel the peaceful pace of the mountainous north through some peaceful villages on the road, the beautiful view of the green mountains and rice fields. After lunch time, we will go along the Da river with beautiful scenery that is like Ha Long fly on land. Arrive Mai Chau around 5:00 pm, stay with the white Thai at the stilt house in Mai Chau.

After breakfast with host family, we get back on the motorbike to continue ride through the Mai Chau valley and then ride into the 15th street along the winding Ma River. That's such a great morning for a trip along the bamboo forest on either side of the river. After lunch at local restaurant in Cam Thuy town, we will go ahead on Ho Chi Minh trail to Tan Ky town, where the milestone 0 of legendary Ho Chi Minh trail started. It could be said that the trail starts from this place.

Overnight in a small hotel in Tan Ky town.

Milestone 0km is known as the starting point of the legenday Ho Chi Minh trail during the war time. This is a gathering point of food and weapons to transport for Vietnam milirary who was fighting in Southern.

After breakfast, we ride down to the South Vietnam with our motorbikes on the historical trail. The trail is almost rebuilt but still offers a beautiful views of river, mountain and the daily life of the local. When we get area of Quang Binh province, scenery of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Reserve Park along the ride is a highlight of the Ho Chi Minh trail motorbike tour.

We leave Phong Nha town then ride ahead to Western Ho Chi Minh trail where is known as the hidden trail that the US army have never discovered to bomb North Vietnam military. The western lop of Ho Chi Minh trail offers us the stunning landscape that we did not see for the first part of journey. After enjoying the ride through Phong Nha Ke Bang Reserve Park, we will go to Khe Sanh town the former important US Marine Base including US Air base, tunnels and new Khe Sanh museum.

In the morning, we leave the Ho Chi Minh trail then head south on the historical road No.9 along bank of river then cross over Dakrong bridge to get the notorious A Shau valley where was a key infiltration route for North Vietnam military during the Vietnam War. In the afternoon, we ride through the barren areas due to the effects of Agent Orange in A Luoi such as Hamburger Hill, Me Oi Pass, etc.

After 5 days ride along Ho Chi Minh trail, today we spend halff day on exploring by boat and discover tombs of the emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty. Relax for the left of day

The ride today is a highlight of the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail motorbike tour since we have a chance to get along the coastline from Hue to Hoi An. In the morning, we visit Forbidden Citadel in the morning then come back road No. 1 to head up the Hai Van Pass (Cloudy Pass) before the World Heritage site of Hoi An, one of biggest trading center in South East Asia in the 16th centuries. Have a short walk in the evening to get the first sense of this lovely town.
