North West Vietnam Motorbike Tour – 8 Days Enduro Ride

After having breakfast at your hotel, our guide will wait for you at lobby then take your to the bike park by taxy. We aim to depart on bikes at 08.15am.

It is quite difficult but so exciting from the start because joining in the busy Hanoi is the first challenge and also the highlight of the tour. Hidden tracks will be discovered soon with jungle, river and stream bed. After getting to the home-stay nearby a dreamy waterfall, you will have a great relax time when swimming in the cool water of the waterfall in the National Reserve Park as one of the deserving rewards for your first hard day. 

Have full of energy after a good and deep sleep, wake up in the vivid green color around and listen to the sound of birds everywhere, all much more than enough to make you feel eager to discover the new things and face the new challenge ahead. Be on the saddle again for the 50km of dirt and mud, you will have lunch in Mai Chau, an amazing valley settled by the White Thai people. Then, we continue riding along the National Highway No.6, an abandoned road which used to be the main road in the ’80s to lead to the 50km off-road along the Da river.

You will stay overnight in Moc Chau plateau, a great land of the tea plantations and flowers.

You will agree that today must be a very interesting day to any fan of off-road ride.

After breakfast, a short tour in Moc Chau is needed to help you explore the beautiful nature of this famous plateau before jumping into the track. You will soon be extremely excited when showing out your off-road skill in different terrains of gravel stone, mud, sheer cliffs, deep abyss…visit some of the Black H’mong villages with fantastic nature.

In the evening, we will have a rest in Bac Yen town after an active day.

With the highest ratio of dirt-road, today is expected to be the longest and hardest day of 8.  Let’s pray for fine weather at least 1 week before we ride into the dirt-roads, nearly 135km of which 90km is dirt. The journey will bring you through the villages of different hill tribes such as Tay, Dao, H’mong…Dangerous and slippery long streams, steep slopes with mud and stone will appear a lot during the ride. Enjoy the picnic lunch on the way, have a short rest, then back again on the saddle to reach Bac Yen town before dark with much effort. 

Hope for a good weather since the track is too difficult with slippery and steep slopes even for intermediate riders. Today is also a hard day even with good weather, more than half of the distance is dirt and dirt. We also ride through jungle, also meet steep slopes and long deep stream. The feeling is amazing when you ride for 60km without encountering another vehicle.

Today will be an easy and relax day. The ride is full of grandiose scenery, awesome gravel roads and windy tracks. Sure, you will stop to catch many incredible moments. The temperature will be changed suddenly when you ride to O Qui Ho, the highest pass in Vietnam which connects Lai Chau province and Lao Cai province.

Stay overnight in the most famous touristy town which is very rich in cultural value in Northwest of Vietnam: Sapa.

Have lunch and feel free to discover Sapa by yourself.

Having breakfast in the beautiful scenery of the Northwest mountains and forest. The plenty colors of hill tribe costumes, sky, cloud, flowers, valley…and the hospitality of the local here will captivate your heart. Say goodbye to this impressive town, we ride along the muddy footpath to Pho Lu. Follow the National Highway No.70 to Thac Ba lake, a beautiful hydroelectric reservoir in the North of Vietnam.

After a little hard day of 40km dirt-road out of 240km on the bike, we get to freshen up with a nice shower then relax with a cold drink in home-stay which has a great view to Thac Ba lake.

Say good bye to a very friendly host, we follow the National Highway 2 to the peaceful town of Phu Tho, riding along the dike of the Red river to where this river meets the Black river. Hanoi is not far from this point. By crossing the bridge on Black river, you will pass Son Tay then, return to Hanoi on the highway.

Tour ends in Hanoi before the rush hour.
