North West Vietnam Off-road Motorbike Tours - 7 Days

It is quite difficult but so exciting from the start because joining in the busy Hanoi is the first challenge and also the highlight of the tour. Hidden tracks will be discovered soon with jungle, river and stream bed. After getting to the home-stay next to a dreamy waterfall, you will have a great time when swimming in the cool water of the waterfall in the National Reserve Park as one of the deserving rewards for your first hard day.

After having breakfast at your hotel, tour leader will wait for you at the lobby then take you to the bike park by taxi. We aim to depart on bikes at 08.15am.

Have full of energy after a good and deep sleep, wake up in the vivid green color around and listen to the sound of birds everywhere, all much more than enough to make you feel eager to discover new things and face the new challenge ahead. Be on the saddle again for the 50km mix of dirt and mud, after the last 10kms of singletrail down hill you will have lunch in Mai Chau, an amazing valley settled by the White Thai people. Then we will be rocking on another great trail that is a hideaway from modern life, pass by the area used to be Vietnam’s golden triangle to get to a beautiful bungalow next to a stream and stay overnight in Moc Chau plateau, a great land of the tea plantations and flowers.

You will agree that today must be a very interesting day to any fan of off-road riding.

After breakfast, a short tour in Moc Chau is needed to help you explore the beautiful nature of this famous plateau before jumping into the track. You will soon be extremely excited when showing off your off-road skill in different terrains of gravel, farm track with hard rocks, mud, sheer cliffs, deep abyss…visit some of the Black H’mong villages with fantastic nature.

In the evening, we will have a rest in Ta Xua village after an active day.

Wake up after a pure night without wifi, internet. Get a cup of coffee to enjoy a spectacular view from 1600 meter over sea level, grab a breakfast then hop on the bike for a big day! After the first 10km on road, we hit an exciting off road day with all terrain: mud, cliffs, great down hill, overgrown farm track, rocky, dusty along Da river, 100km offroad in the morning will make our day feel like a rally day!!! Grab a lunch then we hit another challenging trails with 20 sharp turns and long cliffs that will take your breath then still more options for great off-road if time permits. End of a big day with a hot spring and ice cold beers! What can be better?

Start new day with another bath or feet bathing in the hot spring with a coffee to ready for another great riding day, after breakfast, we hit 7km the road to access to a fully natural dirt trail that devide 2 provinces, then go a long a great view on Vietnam’s wonder - rice terraces, the trail is great when it cope with a big cliff on the side to challenge your driving emotion. After lunch we will be mainly on the road to get to the homestay in Nghia Lo, which is a beatyfull valley.

From Nghia Lo, we will take a nice trail along a river to get to lunch. On the way we may be able to do a bamboo raft, along the ride, we will go through an area that is easy to find gold, we can try our  fate there. A quick stop to learn how people farm silk worms will be a special time. When we get to the homestay, we can make an extra service to take a boat to explore Thac Ba Lake, the first hydro power lake in Vietnam, where people can easily find red rubies and gems.

After breakfast we cruise southeast on Highway 2 and then branch off to the peaceful town of Phu Tho. We follow the edge of the Red River along the dike, almost to the point where it merges with the Black River then flows together to reach the ocean. By now we are very much in the lowlands of the Red River delta and the north main agricultural area. Crossing the Black River via the bridge, we pass through Son Tay and then return to Hanoi on the highway.
